Our    beers

Beer   Philosophy

We don't want to be the next gargantuan brewery in Nebraska.  We are a neighborhood brewery with a constantly changing lineup of beer.   It’s our goal to change one of our six taps weekly, if not more.  Our three barrel (~100 gallon) brewhouse ensures that our beers are ever changing.  Make sure to stop back often to find a very unique new brew.

Below, you'll find a list of every beer we've brewed (sans our Tap Seven beers).

This list is NOT our current tap line up, for our current offerings, click here.

FLagship Beers

Abe's Honey Porter

Picture
Medal Winner:  Second Place Porter/Stout - National Honey Beer Competition

Many a great man has been named Abe, Lincoln, Father Abraham and Simpson. We thought they deserved a great beer so we crafted an easy drinking porter. Don't let the color scare you, this is far from Guinness. We guarantee you'll love this beer even though you can't see through it. Cheers to liking dark beer after sampling this bad boy! Initial honey flavor with an earthy hop finish.

7.2% ABV; 19 IBU

Vanilla White Girl Milk Stout

Picture
We added vanilla to the crowd favorite White Girl which is modeled after the Coffee Shoppe on Main's White Girl latte, this milk stout has a strong initial coffee flavor and a sweet vanilla caramel latte finish that complements the carbon dioxide bite.

5.64% ABV; 11 IBU

Union Jacked SMASH  IPA

Picture
This SMASH (single malt single hop) IPA combines the best malt from England with the best hop in the U.S.  Maris Otter malt pairs perfectly with Mosaic hops to provide a grapefruity slap in the face.

4.8% ABV; 57 IBU

Margaery Grapefruit TIPA

Picture
With a taste straight from the hills of Highgarden, this grapefruit IPA starts with a heavy grapefruit and citrus nose, follows with grapefruit and a mildly earthy taste, and is rounded out by a slightly sweet and insanely crisp finish. A beer fit for any queen of the realm.

9.17% ABV; 142 IBU

Nah Nah Honey I'm Wheat

Picture
You could have another and you probably should!  This perfect summer beer will have you singing all night and drinkin' all day.  This quintessential wheat has a crisp clean flavor with no major hop character.

5.64% ABV; 17 IBU  $3 5oz Taster; $5.00 16oz Pint; $14 64oz Growler

becky sue pale ale

Picture
Named for a great woman, Becky Sue finishes a bit piney with a huge nose of citrus.  Heavy doses of Citra hop lend to the best pale we’ve ever brewed.  This brew and our brewery wouldn’t be possible without the support of Becky Sue.  So raise your glass to one hell of a mother-in-law.

5.25% ABV; 32 IBU

Green  Eyed  Pale

Picture
This base pale is beautiful in its simplicity. Nebraska Cascade hops give Green Eyed a wonderful rounded flavor with notes of grapefruit and pine. Just like the woman it’s named for, Green Eyed Pale delivers without all the flashiness, it even looks great without makeup.

5.91% ABV; 27 IBU

Regulars

Just like Norm, you can expect to see these beers in our line up often throughout the year.

Amber waves of Wayne

Picture
America’s a pretty beautiful and we think Wayne is perdy too.  This is our first beer with “Wayne” in the name.  We were waiting for something catchy, we think we found it.  Chocolate malt brings a dark amber appearance and sweet finish to this one-of-a-kind amber.

6.3% ABV; 31 IBU

Lil Boy Blaze Cranberry Wheat

Picture
While researching Wayne, we stumbled across the first story in the 1912 Herald "Little Boy Starts Blaze". To immortalize W.F. Wright's 3 year old, we named Greg's favorite beer after him. This one of a kind beer tastes as if a beer and a wine had a baby that was raised by a sour patche kid.

4.73% ABV; 17 IBU

Schrock bottom citrus wheat

Picture
Steve Schrock not only has a great sounding name but the Wakefield native was THE very first person to ever like the brewery’s Facebook Page (like, before we even told our parents).  To honor this social media ninja, and because we fell in love with his name, we named this wonderful wheat beer after Mr. Schrock.  Enjoy this slightly sweet wheat beer with the slice of orange already in the beer and toast Steve!

3.94% ABV; 19 IBU

Flintless blackberry stout

Picture
Named after General Anthony Wayne's famous defeat at the hands of Gen. Charles "No-Flint" Grey.  Wayne's career should have been finished.  Instead, Wayne rebounded to win several decisive victories to set up the Crossing of the Delaware. Flintless is the perfect dessert beer with initial roasted malt tones and a blackberry finish.

8.01% ABV; 36 IBU

Alfred  Porter

Picture
As dark as batman’s cape but as smooth and refined as his butler, Alfred Porter has a strong malt backbone with notes of roasted coffee and an earthy finish from British Fuggle hops.

6.88% ABV; 34 IBU

Seasonal/one-off beers

Once a year beers or a one-off that might never come back on tap.

oktoberfest marzen

Picture
Our take on a traditional Marzen style Oktoberfest beer.  A malty amber lager with a slight cherry finish.

4.73% ABV; 18 IBU

wild oz fresh hop cream

Picture
Wild OZ is brewed with with wild hops that have been growing near Osmond's butcher shop for the last 100 years.  These wild fresh hops (picked hours before we brewed it) lend an old world feel to this easy drinking cream ale.  Crisp drinkability with a slight earthy finish.

5.25% ABV; n/a IBU

 Benedict  cucumberbatch   pilsner

Picture
A wonderfully unique pilsner made with fresh Wayne cucumbers from Hochstein Acres.  Strong cucumber nose with a smooth flavor and crisp finish of summer in a glass.  It's elementary, really, you'll want to hoard this like a pile of liquid gold.

3.94% ABV; 18 IBU

caramel salted lager

Picture
A heavy dose of biscuit malt gave this blended lager not only the look of caramel but a slight caramel finish.  We loved the caramel flavor so much that we wanted to salt it to help bring out the carameliness.  An initial shock of salt followed by a caramel finish.

4.5% ABV; 28 IBU

original sin apple wheat

Picture
Eve's not the only one that's in love with apples.  Heavy apple finish makes you even forget you're drinking a beer.

4.86% ABV; 16 IBU

Statek Blonde

Picture
Greg’s first holy $#*! homebrew recipe.  We’ve been holding on to this bad boy until we could find some fresh hops. Just picked Bancroft & Randolph hops give this blonde a straight from the farm feel. P.S. “Statek” means farmhouse in Czech.

5.12% ABV; 23 IBU

Juiced UP CranApple Wheat

Picture
We combined two of our best flavored wheat beers, cranberry and apple. Uniquely colored, Juiced Up hits your palette with a blast of sour apple and cranberry and finishes with mild apple.

4.78% ABV; 18 IBU;

IDK Blonde

Picture
This intro to craft beer just can't make up it's mind switching between a farmhouse ale and a blonde - so we named her "Indeterminate" but that was too hard to say so we shortened it to IDK Blonde?  IDK is a great introduction to craft beer.  Hints of grapefruit and pine with a smooth traditional crisp finish.

5.78% ABV; 21 IBU

Colt Kick Session IPA

Picture
Just like the pony you wanted for Christmas as a kid, this beer is a great introduction to IPA's. With a lower ABV and IBU content, this beer is easy drinking for a pallet looking for more taste without the extreme bitterness of a true IPA. Just because it's little doesn't mean you shouldn't respect it. Mosaic and Citra aroma hops provide a floral and citrus finish without too much bitterness.

3.84% ABV; 29 IBU

Hodge Podge Pale Ale

Picture
A mix match of grains and hops made for a great pale ale. Greg's first handful-of-this-and-that recipe and it turned out great. This easy drinking malt forward introductory craft beer finishes with a hint of pine.

4.86% ABV; 22 IBU

La Porte Pale

Picture
Named for Wayne County’s first town, La Porte Pale is a fresh hopped pale ale (meaning the hops were picked hours prior to brewing).  Citra hops give a slight citrus bitterness but the grassy/pine/tangerine finish comes from hops grown in Bancroft, NE

5.64% ABV; 21 IBU

10 hand Kick IPA

Picture
Colt Kick Session IPA was in our opening line up, we loved that beer but wanted to take a different look at it.  We decided to brew a true IPA and increased the IBU and ABV.  This beer ain't a Colt any more, she's a bit more grown up, about 10 hands worth but she's still got some kick.  Mild alcohol volume doesn't overtake the big hop bill lending to a citrus/pine finish.

5.25% ABV; 64 IBU

lochness pilsner

Picture
Eight stories of flavor round out this classical pilsner that will remind you of your first sip of beer that you took back in the Mesozoic Era.  Smooth bitterness with a mild lemon finish.

4.73% ABV; 24 IBU

White Girl Milk Stout

Picture
Modeled after the Coffee Shoppe on Main's White Girl latte, this milk stout has a strong initial coffee flavor and a sweet caramel latte finish that complements the carbon dioxide bite.

4.46% ABV; 11 IBU

Scrooge Holiday bitter ale

Picture
Just like its namesake, this holiday ale has a heavy dose of bitter but the more you drink it, we guarantee it will grow on you ... let's just hope it doesn't take three ghosts to make you come around.  Initial citrus bitterness with a malty mouthfeel.

6.17%ABV; 32 IBU

Red on you IPA

Picture
We wanted to make an IPA to celebrate on the most beautiful colours in the rainbow.  So grab a pint of this pretty beer and wait for this to blow over.  This colourful twist on a classic American style features a high ABV with notes of pine and citrus hops and finishes slightly sweet.

7.48% ABV; 63 IBU

Malt Potion Stout

Picture
Black as motor oil and smooth as sin!  This malt forward stout is made with nine different malts (grain) from England, Belgium, and U.S.  Dense maltyness is perfectly balanced by a heavy dose of English Fuggle hops.  Initial earthy bitterness and malt heavy finish with an exquisite mouth feel.

6.96% ABV; 26 IBU

bohemian bullet

Picture
Fast and Smooth.  This domestic styled ale is by far the clearest beer we’ve ever made. We set out to make one hell-of-a lawnmower beer and we think we accomplished it! Cascade hops round out this heavily adjuncted ale giving it a slight bitterness on the after taste.

4.2% ABV; 14 IBU

Is it dead irish red

Picture
Crafted from the best malts we could find to deliver a truly Irish pub style red. We recommend keeping firearms and cats out of reach while drinking this vastly malt-forward red.  Is It Dead will hit you with an initial roasted rye maltyness and finish slightly earthy.

5.38% ABV; 30 IBU

Raven Black Amber

Picture
Mild roasted flavors and a subtle caramel and toffee finish round out this incredibly smooth beer. Notes of chocolate and coffee make it perfect for a relaxing pint while watching for white walkers.

6.56% ABV; 27 IBU

Ruckin Rugger Red

Picture
To celebrate WSC Rugby’s multi-national championships, we wanted to make a traditional Irish Red with an American flare. Ruckin’ Rugger combines a slightly nutty and biscuit malt base a slight citrus pine finish.  Don’t be put off by the colour. You could drink this all day on the pitch.  Fifty cents of every pint will go to the WSC Rugby Club.

4.33% ABV; 17 IBU

coloured pebbles ipa

Picture
A heavy dose of Mosaic hops pairs perfectly with Citra to make a liquid mural of hops.  Initial notes of pine with a strong dose of grapefruit and a hint of lemon.  Coloured Pebble finishes incredibly hoppy, not for the weak of tongue.

6.3% ABV; 74 IBU

cc  Saison

Picture
A higher fermentation temperature lends to a slight pepper flavor with heavy lemon citrus finish for this "not for everyone" beer.  Don't ask what CC stands for, we'll never tell!

5.38% ABV; 35 IBU

cowardly lion pre-prohibition Lager

Picture
Cowardly Lion is our take on an easy drinking, yet slightly meaty ye olde lager. It’s named after Nebraska’s infamous William Jennings Bryan, who was the muse for the well-loved spineless lion in Baum’s political satire, The Wizard of Oz. Traditional hops offer a new take on a familiar beer.

5.91% ABV; 31 IBU

hop candy SMASH IPA

Picture
The only candy we added to this bad boy was green, pelletized and bitter as hell!  The Venetians made one heck of a malt and we decided to pay them homage. Vienna malt and Citra hops pair perfectly to offer you a slightly sweet yet high alcohol content beer.

10% ABV; 94 IBU

10  Hand  Kick  IPA

Picture
Colt Kick Session IPA was in our opening line up, we loved that beer but wanted to take a different look at it.  We decided to brew a true IPA and increased the IBU and ABV.  This beer ain't a Colt any more, she's a bit more grown up, about 10 hands worth but she's still got some kick.  Mild alcohol volume doesn't overtake the big hop bill lending to a citrus/pine finish.

5.25% ABV; 64 IBU

cluckin good corn lager

Picture
“Cluck ME, that’s a good beer!” was our brew master’s first words after taking a sip of this easy drinking lager. A slightly higher hop profile than your traditional lagers makes this full bodied Chicken Show inspired beer Cluckin’ Good!  Slight earthy finish with a smooth malt bill.

4.86% ABV; 28 IBU

amarillo squared pilsner

Picture
This beautiful beer is not only amarillo in color but we used Amarillo hops.  Smooth drinking pilsner with an American twist of lemon, orange and grapefruit hop character.

4.1% ABV; 18 IBU

R.K. Ductus IPA

Picture
A massive hopbill rounds out this high ABV/IBU IPA. Heavy notes of pine and citrus (light lemon and grapefruit).  This near New England IPA will punish your taste buds exactly how you like it.  Don’t ask what the name means, we’re saving that for next year’s Iowa Nebraska bet.

7.22% ABV; 114 IBU

Prost  Leber  german  Lager

Picture
This amber lager will be your new go to easy drinker this winter. Prost’s malt forward flavor with a slight citrus hop finish will have you saying “cheers to your liver.”

6.43% ABV; 23 IBU

Row Ho Red wheat

Picture
This easy drinkin’ wheat beer will have you screamin’ red in all kinds of different languages. Belgium red wheat gives Row Ho a slightly nutty malt finish.

6.43% ABV; 20 IBU

Black Lung Kentucky Common

Picture
An American traditional brew, this pre-prohibition lager is an easy drinking slice of Americana. This slightly amber lager finishes a bit fruity from Galena hops.

6.83% ABV; 23 IBU

Boy Stone American Amber

Picture
Named for Will’s favorite musician, Boy Stone is made with South Dakota’s best hop which lends a mild sweetness to the finish of this rye amber that will have you screaming ‘Merica all night long! We recommend pairing with aviators and an American flag bandana.

6.3% ABV; 24 IBU

Fired  Will  Amber

Picture
Everybody always says, “fire at Will” … welp … we finally fired Will (then instantly re-hired him) after his groan-worthy suggestion for this beer’s name.  Fired Will is a beautiful dark amber with notes of chocolate paired with a slight earthy pine finish.

6.3% ABV; 35 IBU

Sanguine Moon IPA

Picture
Diana was goddess of the Moon and the hunt.  Sanguine means blood red. We mashed the two together to make a great Citra hopped IPA that would honor Greg’s med-tech mom, Diane.  Sanguine Moon drinks easy with a slight citrus pine finish.

6.8% ABV; 59 IBU

Mr. Stout I don't feel so Good

Picture
Boiled for two hours in the dead of winter, Mr. Stout is infused with rich malt flavor that resembles chocolate & biscuit. English hops give this beer an earthy finish. After a few of these bad boys, you’ll be ready to fight Thanos. Let’s just hope you do a better job than Spiderman.

6.3% ABV; 36 IBU

The Avenue Wheat

Picture
Clean, easy drinking and clear, cruise down the Avenue to a great time. Notes of lemon from Neo Hops (a rare hop native to America and grown in Yankton) add an interesting twist to a familiar style.
