The Coop Event Space at Johnnie Byrd
When we opened the brewery, we knew that Wayne could benefit from a great place to host mid-sized events. We're excited to offer Wayne's premier mid-sized event space. The Coop is located in Wayne's original 1912 City Hall. Charming design choices have kept most of the nearly120 year old architecture in place, such as beautiful stucco walls and jaw dropping stamped tin ceilings.
The Coop's philosophy is "let us handle the set up and clean up - just party!" We set up the tables and chairs for your event, linen the tables, then tear down after you are done. We offer simple yet elegant table toppers and room decorations. Feel free to jazz up The Coop with your own style but, know, you don't have to.
FOOD - feel free to bring in any food and non-alcoholic drinks you'd like, or let us provide you with a list of catering companies we've worked with in the past.
The Coop can comfortably accommodate 150 individuals.
Drinks - located next to Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company, The Coop has a convenient secret passage steps away from the bar. Johnnie Byrd offers hand made craft beer and spirits as well as a small selection of Nebraska wines. We're confident their bartenders can find a drink for anyone.
We offer a small PA system to either bluetooth music or speak to your party. A small projector and screen (120") is available for use. The Coop is home to a 12' by 14' stage to accommodate live music or a DJ. While our floors are full of 120 year old charm, we have a roughly 25' by 20' wood dance floor.
